Annika became the very first player from outside America to win the Vare trophy. She was the winner of in the US Women Open in 1995. She was also the first woman outside of America to take home the Vare trophy. Annika was also named first on the Money list. Annika decided in 2008 to take a break from competitive play. The night before, she throw the opening pitch in a baseball match. The most recent win on tour came in the playoffs of the Suzhou Taihu lady's open.
