Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. The singer combines soul gospel jazz and R&B to create a unique mixture. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You A House 12, was released only in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay in her live performance. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She was appointed as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls the stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for her daily shows at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
